Lysol Mildew Remover With Bleach
Taking a shower after long hot day
sounds delightful, doesn’t it? After sweating buckets, you just can’t wait
to douse yourself with some nice cold bath water. The experience isn’t as
great, however, when you’ve got mildew and dried up soap scum all over the
bathroom floor. This is to be expected when bathrooms aren’t cleaned and
dried often. The combination of wet walls, floors and darkness is the best
recipe to make molds grow. Instead of suffering through all of this, though,
there is a product that can help. If you want to enjoy a nice long bath in a
clean bathroom, Lysol Mildew Remover with Bleach can help.
This product was developed for
really tough cleaning situations. Regular cleaners just won’t do when it
comes to the exceedingly gross ickyness of all that soap scum and mildew.
Lysol’s offering is strong enough that for the most part, you don’t have to
brush off unwanted stains. We say for the most part since remaining soap
scum needs a little scrubbing. Following
the instructions on the product, the process is easy enough to accomplish.
Just spray the product half a foot away from the surfaces that need
cleaning. Make sure the surface is wetted enough with the Mildew remover and
wait for at least 5 minutes. Then simply wipe off the surfaces and rinse as
much as necessary. Remember to wipe it all dry so as not to attract more
mold.
The above process is enough to kill
all the mildew in the bathroom, but stay in the room long enough and that
might not be all that dies. As effective as the product is, there’s quite a
steep downside. They really
shouldn’t have included a description on the bottle saying Lysol Mildew
Remover leaves a pleasant smell. It’s more than a little misleading. A
simple face mask is not enough when spraying this foul smelling liquid. It’s
going to take a military grade gas mask just to hold back the fumes from
this killer. Ok, that’s verging a little on hyperbole, but to be safe keep
the bathroom well ventilated while using the Lysol or else risk coughing up
a firestorm. In that regard, the gas mask isn’t such a bad idea.
The health risks of breathing in too
much bleach warrants the extra care.
If you can stand dealing with the extra hassle, then this Lysol
product works well enough. You
should remember however, that this product was made for the bathroom so
apply only on tiles, tubs and the like.
The mildew remover comes in a white
container with a spray that works pretty well.
For only 2 to 4 dollars, you get 30 ounces of the product. Overall,
it’s not the best product in the market due to obvious health reasons. It
also requires a little more effort when it comes to soap scum. If you want a
cheap mildew remover however that works fairly quickly, then Lysol Mildew
Remover with Bleach might be worth it. Just make sure you try to inhale
sparingly.
